Be a Part of Making a Change

Giving is an etension of our Christian faith.  We know that God has provided us with all that we have and therefor, we want to give back of our first fruits to help the ministry at Faith.    Help Faith to be the hands and feet of Christ to the community at Homer.  Giving isn’t just of your money but also your time and your talents.  We can’t do the ministry without you!

Why Give Online?

Giving online makes giving simple.  We are set up through Thrivent Financial for you to be able to give to Faith without any fees.  You can use your debit/credit card or have the money taken directly from your checking account.  This partneship with InFaith Community is not a reoccuring event. If you want to give regularly online, you will need to do so each month.  This is nice for when you are out of town or forget your checkbook at home.

Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of Lutheran is Faith Lutheran

We are part of the Lutheran Church- Missouri Synod. You can check out the synod’s website here

What doctrine does Faith Lutheran preach?

Faith Lutheran is part of the Lutheran Church- Missouri Synod and follow their teachings on doctrine, including Baptism, Salvation, Communion, and more.  You can check out their doctrine FAQ’s page here.

Why are your worship times different?

In Alaska, we deal with darkness for a large part of the year. We have decided to experiment with changing our worship times to start later to allow those uncomfortable with night time driving to still attend worship in the winter.

How do I become a member at Faith Lutheran.

We would love to have you join our church.  Talking to Pastor Heidorn is your first step.  Each year he does a Life with God class to help teach you what Faith Lutheran believes and to help you grow in your relationship with Christ.
