Kristi took over as lead preschool teacher in Fall of 2018. She previously has worked in the preschool at Paul Banks, as a sub for the schools, even owned a business in town. Kristi is an avid fisherwoman and during the summer you can catch her out on the water casting her hook for some yummy salmon. Kristi has brought some fun changes to our preschool and new ideas. She has a love for the children and they love her back just as much.
"I grew up in the tiny community of Gary, Minnesota where we could ride our bikes in the street and everybody knew your name. My husband, Scott, always wanted to live in Alaska – so after we married we moved north. Homer has been our home for 32 years. Our two sons were born and raised here and graduated from Homer High School in 2010 and 2012. Tyler is a graduate of UAF with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Kyle is also a graduate of UAF with a degree in Geological Engineering. In my spare time I love to knit, hike, ride snow machine and four wheeler, and spend as much time as possible with my friends, as well as spending time with my family at our cabin."
